(１）School route(tsugaku-ro)

　 Schools fix the school route that school children use to go to school. This route is called the“school route” and is designated to be safe. If a child has an accident going or returning school on the school route, a part of the medical expenses will be payed by the “National Agency for the Advancement of Sports and Health”. But if he or she did not use the school route, they will not be payed.

（２）Group of children going to school

　 Some school children who live near by make a “group” (toko-han)and go to school together everyday. Meeting at the designated time and do not be late. If someone is late, everyone of the group has to wait. This system is safer.

（３）Going home from school

　 As the going home time is differs by grade or day, please look the going home time on the correspondence/letter of your child’s grade(Gakunendayori)

For live safely　

1)　In Japan as traffic is heavy, going school by bicycle is very dangerous. We recommend that children walk to school and do not use bicycle.

2)　Go straight to school and do not stop on the way. When you go out, you have to return home once and go out after putting your school bag.
